Jill’s Pulled Pork
We were visiting Mitch and Jill in Provo, Utah as few years ago, and she made this for us. It is really good and was very easy to put together. You just need to allow it to sit infridge overnight.
Ingredients
Rub
- 2 tbsp salt
- 2 tbsp pepper
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp paprika
- 1 1/2 tsp cayenne
- 4 lbs pork shoulder roast
Liquid
- 2 cups apple juice
- 1 cup cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp Liquid Smoke
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Combine the ingredients for the rub. Rub it all over the pork roast. Put in a 9 x13 pan and cover with foil. Put in refrigerator over night.
- Combine all the liquid ingredients. Pour over the rubbed roast and cover very tightly with foil. Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees and cook roast from 4-6 hours, until the meat is easy to shred. You can serve with Coleslaw, BBQ sauce, pickles and mustard, on a bun.
