Copycat Wendy’s Chili
I got this off of Pinterest. I have made it a couple of times since. This is really a great recipe. I have served it by itself, as a topping for a baked potato with cheese and your favorite toppings. I have used it to make Frito pie as well.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 2 28oz cans diced tomatoes in juice
- 1 16oz cans kidney beans drained
- 1 15oz can pinto beans drained
- 1/2 small onion diced
- 1/4 cup celery diced
- 1/4 cup bell pepper diced
- 1 1/2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Brown ground beef and drain.
- Place in a large pot and add all ingredients.
- Bring to a boil; reduce heat, cover and simmer for 2-3 hours stirring every 15 minutes.
