Saucy Chicken Casserole
This recipe came out of a Taste of Home magazine. “This recipe won the grand prize when I entered it in a local newspaper’s recipe contest! The aroma of the cream sauce in this recipe makes it a mouth-watering favorite with my family. Jackie Remsberg, La Canada, California” My family likes it also.
Ingredients
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 2 cups sour cream
- 3/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup onion chopped
- 1 cup fresh mushrooms sliced
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 6 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
- cooked noodles or rice
Instructions
- In a 13x 9 baking dish combine soups, sour cream, chicken broth, onion, mushrooms and seasonings. Stir to combine.
- Arrange chicken on top of sauce, Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 1 hour or until tender.
- Serve chicken and sauce over noodles or rice.
