Pudding Cake

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cups water

Mix together in sauce pan place on stove and bring to a boil.

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup chopped nuts

Instructions
 

  • Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk. Add nuts to batter, pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 pan , then pour brown sugar mixture over batter. Bake at 400 for 40 minutes
