Saucy Chicken Casserole

This recipe came out of a Taste of Home magazine. “This recipe won the grand prize when I entered it in a local newspaper’s recipe contest! The aroma of the cream sauce in this recipe makes it a mouth-watering favorite with my family. Jackie Remsberg, La Canada, California” My family likes it also.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup onion chopped
  • 1 cup fresh mushrooms sliced
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 6 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
  • cooked noodles or rice

Instructions
 

  • In a 13x 9 baking dish combine soups, sour cream, chicken broth, onion, mushrooms and seasonings. Stir to combine.
  • Arrange chicken on top of sauce, Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 1 hour or until tender.
  • Serve chicken and sauce over noodles or rice.
