Copycat Wendy's Chili

I got this off of Pinterest. I have made it a couple of times since. This is really a great recipe. I have served it by itself, as a topping for a baked potato with cheese and your favorite toppings. I have used it to make Frito pie as well.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 2 28oz cans diced tomatoes in juice
  • 1 16oz cans kidney beans drained
  • 1 15oz can pinto beans drained
  • 1/2 small onion diced
  • 1/4 cup celery diced
  • 1/4 cup bell pepper diced
  • 1 1/2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions
 

  • Brown ground beef and drain.
  • Place in a large pot and add all ingredients.
  • Bring to a boil; reduce heat, cover and simmer for 2-3 hours stirring every 15 minutes.
