Jill’s Pulled Pork

Ingredients

  • Rub
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons pepper
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cayenne
  • 4 pounds Pork Shoulder Roast
  • Liquid
  • 2 cups apple juice
  • 1 cup cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Liquid Smoke
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder

Instructions

  • Combine the ingredients for the rub. Rub it all over the pork roast. Put in a 9 x13 pan and cover with foil. Put in refrigerator over night.
  • Combine all the liquid ingredients. Pour over the rubbed roast and cover very tightly with foil. Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees and cook roast from 4-6 hours, until the meat is easy to shred. You can serve with Coleslaw, BBQ sauce, pickles and mustard, on a bun.
