This is a recipe fromĀ  sister Tammie, she always says she is challenged by cooking. She is an amazing teacher, and has so many other talents she doesn’t need to be a good cook. These are great beans!

Chuck Wagon Beans

Prep Time 30 minutes
Cook Time 1 hour 15 minutes
Total Time 1 hour 45 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 3 pounds hamburger
  • onion chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery chopped
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 2/3 cups boiling water
  • 2 cloves garlic diced
  • 1 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 29 ounce cans B & M baked beans

Instructions

  • Fry bacon until crisp, remove from pan, set aside.
  • Remove bacon grease from skillet, cook bacon, onion, garlic and celery. Season with salt and pepper.
  • While hamburger is cooking dissolve bouillon in boiling water.
  • Remove grease from hamburger, add all ingredients into hamburger.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Covered
