This is a recipe fromĀ  sister Tammie, she always says she is challenged by cooking. She is an amazing teacher, and has so many other talents she doesn’t need to be a good cook. These are great beans!

Chuck Wagon Beans

Cook Time: 1 hour, 15 minutes

Total Time: 1 hour, 45 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 3 pounds hamburger
  • onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 2/3 cups boiling water
  • 2 cloves garlic, diced
  • 1 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 (29 ounce) cans B & M baked beans

Instructions

  1. Fry bacon until crisp, remove from pan, set aside.
  2. Remove bacon grease from skillet, cook bacon, onion, garlic and celery. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. While hamburger is cooking dissolve bouillon in boiling water.
  4. Remove grease from hamburger, add all ingredients into hamburger.
  5. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Covered
