got this off of Pinterest.  I have made it a couple of times since.  This is really a great recipe.  I have served it by itself, as a topping for a baked potato with cheese and your favorite toppings.  I have used it to make Frito pie.

Copycat Wendy’s Chili

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 28 oz. diced tomatoes in juice
  • 1 16 ounce kidney beans, drained
  • 1 15 ounce pinto beans, drained
  • 1/2 small onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup celery, diced
  • 1/4 cup bell pepper, diced
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef and drain.
  2. Place in a large pot and add all ingredients
  3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 2-3 hours stirring every 15 minutes.
